Discover the isolated waterways and secret passageways of Alaska's Inside Passage, navigating by small ship where spectacular scenery, wildlife and pristine beauty abound at every bend. A Traveling from the comfort of a small expedition ship, we explore the seldom-visited 300-mile stretch between Ketchikan and Juneau, stopping along the way to kayak amongst massive icebergs, hike on glaciers and to mist-covered waterfalls, share a traditional meal with an Alaskan family and spend time with native carvers. The world's largest mammals, the great whales, migrate here and orcas are often found foraging in the bountiful waters along the sheltered coastline. Our expedition naturalists provide exciting interpretation and presentations about Alaskan wildlife, natural history and geology.
This trip is a great introduction to SE Alaska and is so much more active, informative and fun than a large cruise ship! Really enjoyed the sense of “ownership” and pride in the ship expressed by the crew members who were so enthusiastic, professional and showed good judgment.
