This luxury African safari in Kenya and Tanzania takes you into the vast Mara-Serengeti ecosystem to witness the greatest concentration and diversity of wildlife in Africa. Following the natural migratory route of millions of wildebeest and zebras, this itinerary makes it possible to traverse directly across the unseen borders of Kenya and Tanzania without having to travel all day back through the hubs of Arusha and Nairobi. This Kenya-Tanzania safari features a lodge poised on the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater and intimate luxury tented camps located in quiet and exclusive sites surrounded by prime wildlife viewing areas. A stunning combination of scenic drives and spectacular bush flights transport you across this vast wildlife ecosystem; from the highlands of the Ngorongoro Crater and the vast plains of the southern Serengeti to the savannahs and woodlands of the remote northern Serengeti and Maasai Mara where the great migration of wildebeest and zebra make their precarious river crossing at the confluence of the Talek and Mara Rivers. Throughout this safari in Africa you'll encounter the great migration, herds of elephant, families of lion and cheetah, large groups of antelopes and many other plains animals. Travel in open vehicles on game drives at day and night, join walking safaris with expert naturalist guides, and discuss your days adventures around the camp fire at exclusive luxury safari camps.
Dunia had an amazing staff and our guide there was the BEST. We teased him that he had a button on the dash that conjured up the animals we were hoping to see each day. Rekero’s location is unbeatable and the chefs turned out fantastic family style meals under the trees. Our guides there were so much fun and the cats - WOW! You could tell that the staff loved their work, and genuinely wanted their guests to have an amazing stay.
We loved the variety of locations without spending days in transit. Small camps is the best way to experience the Serengeti and Maasai Mara. We spoke to other travelers in Zanzibar who had stayed in the massive lodges - they did not have the experiences we did and in some cases were slightly disappointed in their safaris while we were raving fans. Thank you for putting together an adventure we will be talking about for years to come.
