Like its sister-property in Buenos Aires, the Legado Mitico is undisputedly Argentine in design with an emphasis on quality, service and delivering a memorable experience. Housed in a lovingly restored mansion, the hotel is just five blocks from the city’s traditional main square. Each of the 11 rooms is named after a charismatic national figure, be it folk musician, military heroine or freedom fighter. Cowhide chaps hang above the bed in El Gaucho; there are framed bows and arrows in El Wichi; and hand-woven rugs adorn El Kolla. The native flair is due to design duo Javier Figueroa and Horacio Menéndez, who scour markets and auctions for furnishings.
