Laura has not stopped traveling since her father took her to England when she was 17. After completing an MBA at Michigan State and working as a CPA, consultant and university instructor in Information Technology, she transformed her career to become a travel professional in 2000. She returned to the UK, and then journeyed throughout Australia, New Zealand, Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and India traveling independently out of a backpack, working on farms, studying dance in India, and living in Turkey, always traveling slowly and experiencing every place and its people intimately. "I consider Turkey my second home and love sending travelers to experience its vibrant culture, historic landscapes, and amazing cuisine." Laura exclaims. "If Turkey is my second home, then India is my heart." An avid reader, Laura was the map buyer and accountant for Seattle-based Wide World travel store for 10 years. She has become a recognized Far East tour specialist having planned group and individual tours from India and Turkey, to Myanmar and Bhutan. She enjoys taking her son on trips to see the world through young eyes and leads Wildland family adventure vacations on occasion. Laura speaks conversational Turkish and has picked up a smattering of other languages by virtue of testing her skills to connect with unsuspecting locals. In her free time, she hikes and bikes with her son, plays Indian tabla drums and practices Aikido, a Japanese martial art.
