Hacienda Concepcion

Built in a former cacao and rubber plantation, on the grounds of a former medical mission, this family friendly lodge sits within 819 hectares of lush natural rainforest. The rainforest acts as a buffer zone between the Tambopata National Park Reserve and the shores of the vast Madre de Dios river, making the location of this new lodge unique and wonderfully remote though still very accessible; only 45 minutes by boat from Puerto Maldonado. Guests stay in 20 different cabanas and rooms and select from a variety of guided excursions; hike along forest trails, explore Reserva Amazonica’s canopy walkway and paddle a dugout canoe on a wildlife-rich oxbow lake. An on-site Eco Center adds to the discovery of the rainforest.
