Hacienda Sacha Ji

From the local dialect, Sacha Ji translates to “Beloved Mountain” in English. This beautiful eco-hotel in the shadow of Volcan Imbabura is surrounded by Andean peaks and lakes, with numerous indigenous villages an easy drive away. Sacha Ji is dedicated to the idea of occupying its space with complete dedication to environmental sensitivity. It's eleven rooms are scattered throughout the property, each offering stunning views of Imbabura and Lago San Pablo, the largest lake in Ecuador. Each room boasts a fireplace, energy-efficient heating systems, cozy duvets, all are decorated with Andean rugs and weavings, contemporary Ecuadorian art as well as 18th century furnishings. Guests may choose activities ranging from yoga classes, private photography course, Andean cleansing ceremonies, or even helping out in the hotel’s organic garden! Dining at Sacha Ji is all part of the experience, with local, mainly organic ingredients and offerings drawn from traditional dishes of the Andean highlands as well as the Pacific coast and jungles of the Amazon.
