Awasi Patagonia

Newly opened in 2013, Awasi Patagonia sits inside a 15,000 acre private nature reserve with sweeping views of Torres del Paine and Lago Sarmiento. The chosen location is protected from the often intense Patagonian winds by a thick native forest of lenga and nirre trees, brimming with native wildlife including guanacos, rheas, foxes, condors, and the occasional puma.

Awasi Patagonia has just 12 private villas and the main attraction is that each villa is accompanied by a private, naturalist guide and driver catering just to the interests of the individual guests; there are no group tours and no schedule, you and your guide work together to design the experience that best fits your interests be they intensive trekking, photography, bird watching, or learning about the park’s natural history. Designed by renowned Chilean architect Felipe Assadi, the property is built of native wood which allows the structures to blend into the natural landscape. Each villa measures a minimum of 860 square feet and contains a living area, fireplace, and hot tub which are configured to maximize exposure to the incredible panorama of Torres del Paine from every angle.
