Casa Turquesa

A serene and contemporary guesthouse with light, colorful rooms and a central location in one of Brazil's most charming towns, Casa Turquesa is a haven of calm, cleanliness and care; only 9 rooms wrapped around a leafy courtyard and deck-lined plunge pool. The interior is a library of art books with a color scheme of snowy white and vibrant pops of color reflected on the exterior with the whitewash walls and blue doors and shudders. In a true labor of love, Sao Paolo-born owner Teresa spent 5 years perfecting her hotel, applying interior design secrets gleaned during many years in France. The hotel serves breakfast in your room or the guest lounge and light tapas can be ordered throughout the day though a proper lunch or dinner requires dining at the town’s many restaurants. And leave your shoes at the door! It is Paraty tradition to never wear shoes in the home and white slippers are provided for you upon check-in.
