Puerto Valle

Located along the Parana River and amidst the Ibera Mashes, Puerto Valle boutique hotel and estancia is a rustic and luxurious get away in the distinctive, less traversed province of Corrientes, Argentina. The Ibera (a native Guarani word for “shining waters”) Marshlands "Esteros del Ibera" is one of the world's most amazing natural wetlands. The estancia encompasses 10 thousand hectares brimming with exotic wildlife, but is less than two hours driving from the closest airport in Posadas. The original homestead, which dates back to 1868, has been beautifully restored. Guests will find their contemporary needs are met while simultaneously engulfed in the traditional atmosphere that the estancia’s architecture and tasteful design and accents evoke. The estancia itself is a working cattle farm but is also heavily involved with sustainability projects including a tree nursery for reforestation and caiman hatchery that helps maintain the wild populations of these alligators in the wetlands.
