Kelebek Hotel

Located in the heart of Goreme’s historic old village with spectacular views overlooking Uchisar and Cavusin, Kelebek Hotel has been converted and expanded from a family home to a contemporary boutique hotel. Thirty-one rooms all vary in character some located in a geological “fairy chimney” that was once used by local hermits and later for storage, some in caves, and some in the traditional arched rooms of the original residence, but all renovated with modern hotel facilities. Suites (available on request) have spacious cave bedrooms with hand-carved furnishings and locally-made fabrics, marble-walled bathrooms with their own hamam basins, power-showers and bathtubs, and a lovely flower-filled garden with fairy chimneys behind. Kelebek has been constructed out of stones reclaimed from demolished houses and decorated with antique remnants of Cappadocia's extensive history.
