Jungle Lodge Tikal

Established in 1956, the family owned Jungle Lodge is a ten minute walk from the Classic Mayan ceremonial center of Tikal. It was originally constructed to house archaeologists excavating Tikal and is now comprised of 36 bungalows each with two double beds and large private bathrooms. High ceilings with fans keep the rooms cool and each bungalow has its own small porch with lounge chairs. Meals are served in the open air dining room, and a swimming pool is located in between the bungalows.
