Travelers Conservation Trust Program: Maasai Association

When you travel to Kenya with Wildland Adventures you help support the Maasai Association, a community-based organization in Kajiado Central District of Kenya. The organization’s humanitarian and relief work is aimed at building schools, water systems, providing academic scholarship to disadvantaged children, and supporting sustainable economic development projects in the Maasai region. Their mission is to empower the Maasai people so that they can make better-informed decisions affecting their future, and to minimize permanent migration of young men and women from the community into urban areas (brain drain).

Through education and economic development projects, their long-term goal is to integrate the Maasai people into the modern world, while preserving the culture through education, health, environmental conservation, and economic development.

The Travelers Conservation Trust [TCT] is an affiliate non-profit program of Wildland Adventures which gives our travelers the opportunity to support conservation and help indigenous communities at a local level worldwide.
