Chris Moriarty

Chris developed his love of Africa and native culture living in a rural Namibian village for two years while teaching in the U.S. Peace Corps. From the jungles of Uganda to the Kalahari desert, he has travelled to remote corners of the African continent on numerous private and self-guided safaris in eight countries. Among the most adventurous trips he organized and led was for a group of high school students on a month-long journey through South Africa and Namibia. He holds a Master's Degree in International Development from the Korbel School at the University of Denver. International travel, conservation and community development have shaped his life and formed the basis of his core values. Chris' enthusiasm for sharing his knowledge and experience to design transformational travel opportunities to Africa led him to Wildland Adventures. Outside of travel he enjoys climbing mountains, backcountry skiing and mountain biking throughout the Pacific Northwest. Chris is a Wilderness Emergency Medical Technician and an active volunteer with the Snohomish County Helicopter Rescue Team.
