Letter from the President
TRAVEL ON

Kurt KutayTravel is on the rise again. You can read the detailed Trip Reports of our recent staff explorations in South Africa, Guatemala and Belize, Costa Rica, Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands. A recent travel industry survey indicates that 45% of Americans who had delayed their travel plans due to war and economy now intend to book last-minute trips. No kidding! We are busy booking trips closer to departure and have become quite adept at helping travelers make last minute arrangements. See our recommended upcoming Summer trips, but do call us if you are planning to travel this Fall, and don’t wait if you plan to travel over the December-New Year’s holiday. The upbeat bookings we continue to receive among our travelers correspond with results of another survey of active travelers by The Away Network. They found that “active travelers” are more likely than the general public to keep traveling undeterred by war, terrorism and a sluggish economy. Why? Because for the most part, these active travelers, like our own Wildland clients, are better educated, they use the Internet to stay informed, have higher incomes, and consider travel an important part of defining who they are.

Worldwide travel conditions will remain in flux so you can always check the new permanent section of our website “Travel In These Times” for the latest destination updates.

So, Travel On!

Kurt Kutay
President
