Inkaterra Peru Welcomes Two Luxury Hotels

La Casona, Cusco's first luxury boutique hotel, opened last month introducing a new level of service and style to the city. Inkaterra, Peruvian hotel purveyor, completely restored and refitted an original colonial manor on the quaint Plaza Las Nazarenas. The intimate boutique hotel features just 11 suites surrounding a picturesque courtyard that retains its original charm and patina of time. Suites are outfitted with modern comforts such as pima cotton linens, WiFi, DVD players, iPods and more, while preserving the essence of the colonial era with period furnishings and decor. A concierge service is available to guests, allowing travelers to explore the area on their own time.

Set on a private peninsula overlooking Lake Titicaca and the surrounding Andes, Titilaka is the latest addition to Inkaterra's luxury hotel collection. Titilaka aims to connect guests with the natural experience of Lake Titicaca from wraparound porches and panoramic views to a spa and heated pool overlooking the lake (2009). Each guest room features ultra-modern dcor and amenities, including portable oxygen tanks to ease side effects of the altitude. During your stay at Titilaka, explore the area by car, boat, horseback or on foot experiencing the living cultures of the Quechuas and Aymaras, at Taquile, Amantani and the floating man-made reed islands of Uros; wander through the splendid colonial churches of Juli, Pomata and Lampa; or bird watch from the hilltops of Perka and Inkanatavi.

To learn more about Inkaterra's other featured properties, such as the Urubamba Villas, or to book La Casona or Titilaka on any Wildland Adventure in Peru, please contact our South America Program Director, Breanne Stovall, at Breanne@wildland.com.
