Adventure Vacations from the Experts

On a Wildland Adventure in Alaska you have time to take it all in at your own pace. Rather than trying to cover too much ground, too far and too fast, you explore the southeast coastal wilderness and the interior wildlands of Denali in depth with a naturalist guide who is knowledgeable in both marine and terrestrial ecosystems. Our small yacht charters in Prince William Sound and Glacier Bay provide access to isolated coves and coastal habitats that are inaccessible or unknown to cruise ships or popular tour boats. In Denali National Park we use the Kantishna Lodge which is simply better than any of the other lodges in Park. It is located in the heart of the Park (not at the entrance), and it offers the most interesting, flexible and diverse activities and field excursions. You will also appreciate the esthetic quality of the log construction and friendly staff of this native Alaskan lodge.

On land, air or by sea, hiking or paddling your kayak, you and only 3 to 11 other people move quietly and slowly through pristine habitats affording you the best opportunities to view, photograph and learn about Alaska's incredible wildlife. Traveling more like a group of friends than a tour group, every Wildland Adventure in Alaska is different, because each day is planned to accommodate the interests and abilities of individual trip participants. From the proprietor of your Anchorage bed and breakfast, to our captain and crew, the Denali lodge staff, and your naturalist guides, you will appreciate the spirit of the Alaskan people you encounter through their personal stories and opportunities you have to learn about the indigenous cultures and history of this great land.
