“I really appreciated the focus on such
excellent Moroccan cuisine and the cooking lesson with the
family in Zaouia d'Ifrane. The visits with families, stopping
for lunch in the Middle Atlas at the small farms and all
the
other planned and unplanned encounters with the people were
very meaningful for me. I was overwhelmed with the generosity,
kindness and simple joy of everyone we met. I also loved
the
Sahara and the camel rides...very beautiful! In some ways
I would have liked to spend more time there, but I think
with
the overall scope of the trip it was a good stop.
Our guide was wonderful. I appreciated his years
of experience, his enthusiasm and pride in his culture, and
getting his perspective on the country and the changes
occuring
there. Our driver Mahmoud was also wonderful. I felt very
safe with him and he was very funny! I learned a lot from
our specialist local guide in Marrakech, Aziz.”

Moroccan Adventure
“The Sahara Desert camping was worth a million,
especially the spectacular sunset view unparalleled in our
experience, including two rainbows! It was great to visit
the village. At dinner with the village family and another
dinner at our guide’s home in Fez we were treated to
excellent home cooking. Our guide was very experienced and
helpful. Our driver was funny, patient and very professional.
Morocco is a country with much to offer, with its varied
landscapes
and unique cultural impacts from Moorish, Arabic, Spanish
and French influence.”

Morocco Custom Trip
“The Mediterranean forests of the Middle
Atlas are a unique environment, and may be the only way of
seeing an ecosystem that was eradicated from Europe before
recorded history. I saw the countryside, evergreen oak
and
cedar forests, and the peasant agricultural practices - as
natural as it gets. It was surprising to see pockets of
virgin
forests. My guide was sensitive to my specialized interests
[in botany] and worked to expand the mileage and sites
we
covered. I also enjoyed the opportunity to see Berber culture
on such an intimate level.”
