"Every day was something special,
from day one to the end. The trip was
diverse and challenging. It was wonderful
to hike and to canoe, the archaeology
was fascinating, the cultures so varied.
If I had to choose a "best day" I
would say riding the inner tube into
the caves was best; turning off the headlamps
in this spiritual place; floating back
with the current in the dark; seeing
the
most incredible rock formations. That
was a great day, but so was Tikal, Crooked
Tree Lagoon bird-watching at 6:00 a.m.;
It was right up there with our three
other
Wildland trips."

were extremely helpful. Thank you for
sending the Beletsky Field Guide, it was
a great resource. The food was fresh,
healthy with good variety and wonderful
flavors. Caves Branch Lodge and tubing
in cave and jungle trek were fun, exciting
and educational. The accommodations at
the Green Parrot in Placencia were relaxing,
beautiful and excellent. There was no
part of this trip that I did not enjoy.
Sam Tillett is a god-the best travel
guide I have ever had!! Extremely knowledgeable,
entertaining, attentive, etc., etc..
I knew no one else at the beginning of the
trip and felt close bonds with everyone
at the end. We shared a common interest
in wildlife and ecology which made us
quite compatible. Belize is a unique and
exciting place, at the same time it feels
primitive and advanced. There is an excellent
attitude toward conservation. Belize
is a paradise for lovers of nature."

"There was nothing about this trip
we did not enjoy. From the moment we
stepped off the plane in Belize, it was one adventure
after another. Sam Tillett was a truly
marvelous guide and great fun. He made
a wonderful trip even better and took
excellent care of us. I cannot praise
Sam enough, we would love to go on another
trip with him. The food was fresh, well
prepared and delicious, everywhere. In
fact I ate much more than I do at home.
Your itinerary prepared us very well
for all the accommodations. Some were more
rustic than others but that was part
of the adventure, and everything was clean
everywhere we went. The star of the show
was the Green Parrot in Placencia, the
best service I have ever encountered.

on this trip, especially Sam and the

"The river cave inner-tubing was
novel, new, enjoyable and beautiful.
I enjoyed gaining knowledge from the jungle
walks. I loved the swimming hole and
rope swing at Caves Branch Jungle Lodge. Staying
in the small village at Sam Tillett's
Guesthouse I got a feel for the life of
local people. Sam was great, available
and cheerful, wanting to make the trip
interesting and convenient for guests.
