Belize snorkeling or SCUBA diving
We can arrange for you to snorkel Belize or SCUBA dive
in any number of exceptional sites as a trip add-on. We
especially recommend Blackbird Caye located off the mainland
from Belize City near by easy, shallow snorkeling areas
and within close proximity to world-class SCUBA dive sites.
Caving
Explore the underworld of the ancient Maya in the labyrinth
of limestone caves found throughout Belize. Caves Branch
Jungle Lodge and other caving specialists in the Cayo
region offer a range of spelunking adventures and float
trips on subterranean streamsfull of fantastic geological
formations, many containing Mayan artifacts. Visit a
ceremonial grotto on the River Cave Expedition, or experience
a 200 foot rappel through the rainforest canopy and underground
on the Black Hole Drop.
Tikal
Among the most impressive ancient cities of the Maya world,
Tikal is located less than two hours across the Belize
border in Guatemala. A one-day or overnight Tikal tour
from your lodge in the Cayo district is easily arranged
to experience the natural beauty and bountiful wildlife
of the Peten rain forest and the history and archaeology
of the Maya culture. |
