Upon arrival in San Jose meet your private naturalist guide and travel to the charming Hacienda Tayutic in Turrialba. Spend a day with your private naturalist guide exploring the Turrialba Volcano National Park and learning about the geology of this active volcano. Or make a visit to the Tapanti Wildlife refuge, filled with waterfalls, birds and numerous species of orchids. The following morning choose from an exciting rafting trip on the Class III-IV Pacuare River, a coffee and mountain biking tour, or a tour of local farms including macadamia, coffee, and a sugar mill. After a day full of active adventure, luxuriate with a massage at the Hacienda's spa. Overnights are at the Hacienda Tayutic. 

Head to the beach! After a private transfer to San Jose, you'll board a small airplane for a short flight to Tambor on the north Pacific coast, known for its abundant sunshine, wide sandy beaches, great surf and spectacular sunsets. Spend three nights at Latitude 10 Resort where you can sleep in late or rise early to catch the early morning surf as the next two days are yours to enjoy at your leisure. One surfing lesson is included, and if you’re looking for more adventure there are a plethora of active pursuits available including snorkeling and kayaking tours and hiking in several coastal national parks (optional activities at additional cost).
