“Our guides were both very professional;
in dress, attitude, driving ability, and knowledge of animals
and terrain. I especially appreciated their overall attitude
towards nature -- every sighting, from the lions and
elephants
to the soldier ants and dung beetles, was pointed out and
described with equal respect and reverence for their
role
in the nature of things. On a grand scale, that was maybe
the most profound part of the entire trip. Seeing the
important
role every animal and plant played in the survival of the
system as a whole. Synchronous and symbiotic, they relied
on each other for their very survival. Just nature at
work.
That perspective was a direct result of the safari guides
love of their work and their land."
"The local hiking guides really went out
of their way to find interesting experiences for us on
walks especially the Maasai guides at Sinya and at Tarangire
River
Camp. They helped me to notice the small things and added
an entire layer of authenticity and interest to the experience
that I appreciated.”

Wilderness Walking Safari
“ We have traveled to many countries and
agree that this was quite simply the best trip we have
ever taken. The Wilderness Walking Safari in Tanzania was
wonderful
and the combination of natural and cultural focus was perfect.
We will not soon forget watching cheetahs hunt and kill
a wildebeest in the Serengeti. The visit to the Bushman
camp was an experience of a lifetime, but really the whole
trip was outstanding.”

Wilderness Walking Safari and Zanzibar
“On the Mt. Kilimanjaro climb, it was
fantastic. The summit is a site that cannot be expressed
in mere words. Our group of five all made the summit. We
worked as a team, encouraging one another along the way
and sharing the thrill of making it to Uhuru Peak. Truly
a remarkable and incredible accomplishment that we share
with one another.”
“Zanzibar was an excellent way to end
our trip. The white-floury beaches were the best, it was
so relaxing, peaceful, beautiful and romantic. We had
nightly
entertainment provided by the local bush-babies. They clamored
over our thatch roof every night. We became accustomed
to
their nightly rituals and enjoyed their antics. A perfect
ending to our trip to Africa. We would not change any
part
of our African experience. Each day was an unique experience
to be remembered and cherished for all the years to come.”

“Wildland Adventures listened to us and
understood how we like to travel. They booked the safari
and pre and post arrangements accordingly. The style and
relaxed atmosphere of the Ikoma Camp in the Serengeti and
the lower density of travelers in the area made the Serengeti
number one on our favorites list!”
