> Season and Climate
The
best game viewing is generally between May and October,
which also corresponds to the most comfortable season for
travel. Days are clear and sunny with temperatures in the
80°’s F and nighttime temperatures may drop near
freezing. There is very little rain during this period.
The end of the dry season warms up dramatically and can
become very hot in the Kaokoveld and Etosha, up to 95°F.
The hottest months are from December through February.
Game drives are scheduled at dawn and dusk as animals and
travellers seek out the shade during the heat of the day.
The bird watching season is best from November to March.
