Sussi & Chuma Lodge
Sussi & Chuma Lodge is situated within the Mosi-Oa-Tunya
National Park. Mosi-Oa-Tunya, meaning ‘the smoke that
thunders’, is the name the local people have for the
inspirational Victoria Falls. This small park is best known
for its giraffe and white rhino populations but also boasts
buffalo, zebra, sable, eland, wildebeest, and migratory elephants.
The lodge is nestled on the northern edges of the park, where
elegant tree chalets and raised walkways hide amongst giant
ebony trees. All chalets have private baths and a secluded
verandah overlooking the Zambezi River. Resident wildlife
is easily spotted along the river banks and in the trees on
the grounds of the lodge. Delicious meals are served from
the elevated kitchen and dining room. Guests can relax around
a fire with cocktails while watching the mighty Zambezi crawl
by.
