Puku Ridge is a traditional tented safari camp named after the endemic puku
antelope, which are prolific in South Luangwa. The camp is located on a
secluded ridge in the national park and overlooks the water-rich Kakumbu
Valley. There are six spacious canvas tents each with indoor and outdoor
showers, a sunken bath, mosquito nets, ceiling fans, and a private verandah.
Luangwa Park is home to many species of African animals including a leopards,
a large spotted hyena population and the endangered wild dogs. There is
also significant population of elephants, lions, antelope and over 400
species of birds.
