Mwamba Bush Camp
Our camp is constructed each May on the banks of the Mwamba
River, a tributary to the Luangwa River. The camp is a 'bush'
camp-made by local artisans from reed and thatch. Three chalets,
accommodating only six guests, all have two screened 'sky
lights' for star gazing each night. Rooms have private open
air baths with hot and cold water, flush toilets and solar
lights. Water holes are located right in front of camp and
one of the largest herds of Cookson's wildebeest are found
in the area. Mwamba is the only camp located this far north
in the park and is a three hour walking safari from its sister
camp, Kaingo. Seclusion in the wilderness is one of the many
charms of Mwamba.
