Ngorongoro Serena Lodge
The Ngorongoro Serena Lodge is designed discretely in the
landscape, built into the rim of a dormant volcano. The plant
and ivy-covered native stone blends masterfully with its surroundings
so that the lodge is not visible from the crater floor during
game drives. Most of the seventy-five guest rooms have private
terraces with spectacular views of the crater floor and the
African sunrise. The main lodge has spacious lounge areas
and a grand dining room with floor to ceiling windows overlooking
the crater. Dancers, slide lectures, local musicians, and
celebrations often take place at the lodge in the evenings.
Nature walks with local Maasai guides offer cultural insights
into the natural habitat of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
