Kambi ya Tembo

  Kambi ya Tembo Tent
Meals in the open area are served family style, and your guide will often join you to share stories of the bush.
Located in Northern Tanzania just south of the Kenya border, Sinya is a unique camp with a very close relationship with the local Maasai community. Twelve tents all look out to Mt. Kilimanjaro ensuite bathroom, flushing toilets and hot water showers provided by the caring staff. Because this is a community conservation area we offer walking safaris as well as game drives in open vehicles. Come and join us in a journey to traditional Maasai Africa, learn about the language and way of a life of some of the last nomadic pastoralists on Earth, visit their "manyattas" (villages), play with the children, enjoy singing and dancing, or take a guided walk with a Maasai warrior-all under the majestic presence of Mount Kilimanjaro.

Tents feature either two twins or one king bed, and have verandahs with comfortable chairs and great views.   Walk with experienced Maasai Guides who will teach you about the traditional uses of plants found in the bush and look for tracks and spoor of zebra, giraffe, and elephant.

Kambi ya Tembo
The twelve tents of Kambi Ya Tembo are situated on a ridge with fantastic views out to Mt. Kilimanjaro
