Thanda Private Game Reserve

  Thanda Private Game Reserve
Bright colors enliven your stylish room, where a fire is lit on cold winter nights.
Thanda Private Game Reserve is located close to the Indian Ocean in the heart of Zululand. Thanda, which means 'love' in Zulu, was built to create harmony between humans and nature. The main lodge has nine private villas, each with heated splash pools, a peek-a-boo fireplace between the bedroom and lounge, enormous bathrooms with a deep, egg-shaped bathtub, and indoor-outdoor showers. There is also a world-class spa with massage therapy including hot stone, aromatherapy, and reflexology, a steam room, and a hydrotherapy pool. The wellness center uses African essential oils and draws inspiration from the Zulu culture to give guests the perfect relaxing and rejuvenating spa day. Thanda offers guests an introduction into Zulu life through song, dance, story-telling at a Zulu homestead. The reserve is also part of an ongoing game rehabilitation program that aims to reintroduce endangered endemic species to the area.
