Mountain Lodges of Peru

  Mountain Lodges Image
Spectacular mountain views from luxury lodges on the Machu Picchu Mountain Lodges Trek.

Our Machu Picchu Mountain Lodge Trek is a spectacular high elevation trek through the Andes connected by a series of four premier, boutique trekker's accommodations constructed in the finest tradition of European-style hut to hut hiking. All rooms are heated each with private bath (hot and cold water). The end of each day trekking awaits a pisco sour and gourmet meal of Peruvian and international cuisine paired with fine wine in a well-appointed lodge with an outdoor Jacuzzi and a cozy bed and duvet complete with high thread count.

Enjoy Peruvian and international cuisine paired with fine wine on the luxury mountain lodge trek through Peru.

The first lodge on the route, Salkantay Lodge, has 12 rooms accommodating 24 persons, and each of the other three trekker's lodges (Wayra, Collpa, Lucma Bamba) accommodate only 12 persons in 6 private double rooms. All of these luxury trekking lodges have fireplaces, outdoor Jacuzzi, ambient heating, dining areas serving Peruvian/International cuisine, bar and lounge facilities, and potable water.

Located at 11,800 feet in the picturesque valley of Soraypampa under the towering peak of Mt. Salkantay, we stay at this luxury lodge for 2 nights of acclimatization. It features a spacious lounge and dining area, a reading room, and plenty of activities including day hikes, horseback riding, trout fishing and Jacuzzi under the stars at night.

Wayra Lodge
Located at 12, 864 ft in Huayraccmachay, "the place where the wind lives", the site of this lodge is a tiny five-family encampment of cattle ranchers and farmers. This cozy structure is built of stone and thatch in the local Andean style.

Colpa Lodge
Surrounded by a cloud forest perched on a 1,000-foot bluff above the river at 10,300 feet overlooking the Colpapampa Valley, you hear the rushing confluence of three rivers. Enjoy the Jacuzzi or take a dip in the local hot springs.
