Lodging in Ethiopia is considerably more basic than many other tourist areas in Africa. Accommodations include basic camping with bedrolls, bush showers and chemical toilets, simple hotels with private en suite facilities, eco-lodges and a few international chain hotels in the capital city. Most hotels offer a sampling of international cuisine, Italian dishes and a few local specialties. Domestic wine and beer is available and coffee is served at each meal.
