Tulemar

  Tulemar
One of the few private hotel beaches in the area, Tulemar's beach was awarded an ecological blue flag in 2001, the highest rating given by the Costa Rican Tourism Institute.
Nestled on a large, hilltop property, each of Tulemar's 14 octagonal bungalows feel like a private house on a tropical estate. The bungalows are tucked down over the crest of the hill overlooking the forested slope, mature fruit orchards and rows of stately Royal Palms. The ocean side of each bungalow affords stunning views of the Pacific Ocean. The bay in front of and below Tulemar is flanked by two forested headlands protecting a white sand private beach that is only accessible from the hotel. Here guests can enjoy drinks from the beach bar, try a hand at sea kayaking or snorkeling, or hike one of the nature trails.

Each of the 645 sq. foot bungalows is truly beautiful and comfortable, boasting a fully-equipped kitchenette, living room, large bedroom with two queen-sized beds, telephone, television & VCR, and a bathroom complete with tub and hair-dryer. Guests also enjoy the small infinity swimming pool and snack bar, just a short walk from the bungalows.

The other half of each bungalow is a living area with a kitchenette and sofas that can be made up into additional beds as needed.   Two queen beds and a private bath are standard in each bungalow.
