Savegre Mountain Lodge
Stay as guests of the Chacon family in the quaint cabins (with
private bath) on their family farm at 7,200 feet above sea
level. The lodge provides all the basic comforts; no frills
for the body, but luxury for the soul in nature. Much of the
wholesome food is grown on the farm and prepared with love
by the family in Costa Rican style. Clear trout streams, fruit
orchards, and fresh vegetable gardens are set in a spectacularly
beautiful valley surrounded by one of the most rich cloud
forest habitats in the Americas. Enjoy guided hikes with the
resident naturalist in search of the Resplendent Quetzal and
other cloud forest wildlife. This is one of the best places
in the world to see the Resplendent Quetzal year-round. Other
options include a waterfall hike, horseback riding, trout
fishing, or bird walks.
