Luna Lodge

	In the middle of the rainforest.

Luna Lodge is a haven of seven bungalows, located deep in the heart of the Corcovado Conservation Area. The road to the lodge climbs approximately one mile from the airstrip at Carate. Luna Lodge is perched on the slope of a ridge and the dining area offers an amazing vista of the surrounding forest leading down to the ocean. All rooms have a small terrace, private bath, hot water, and a unique bathroom with an open skylight. Sweeping views of the surrounding rain forest are available from certain bungalows. Creative meals including homemade breads and organic fruits are served in the dining area. Hiking near the lodge and into Corcovado National Park, bird watching, star gazing, horseback riding, sea kayaking, and shore fishing are some of the activities you can enjoy in this tranquil environment. Hikes are moderately strenuous.

Relaxing afternoons are well spent on the porch watching birds and other wildlife in the primary rain forest.		Included in your stay is a hike to this waterfall, a great place to wade in and stand under the downpour.
Built largely of local materials, airy rooms are relaxing bases for the day's activities.
