Experience a nostalgic, turn-of-the-century camping safari that recreates the sense of a game-viewing adventure reminiscent of the times of the great African explorers. The style of accommodation at our private campsites takes you back to this era of exploration where the animals rule and we are merely visitors. Each large walk-in tent is fitted with crisp cotton linens, a brass bucket shower, hand basins and a separate flushing toilet. Few experiences can compare to camping out under the Southern night sky in the African bush while luxury comforts and amenities are elegantly provided. All the camps are completely private and for the exclusive use of each group with a minimum of two and a maximum of eight guests per safari. The camping experience is broken up with a few nights at permanent camps and lodges to provide an all round experience of Botswana’s varied habitats.
Discoverer camping aims to bring you closer to nature, by means of a lively camp fire, hurricane lanterns, wide-ranging activities and a warm atmosphere complimenting the comfort and added luxury of the lodges we visit. The camps are specifically outfitted to ensure that old-style camping feel with a clear emphasis on stylish and comfortable interiors, creating a peerless wilderness experience.
