Jungle Lodge Tikal
| |
 |
| |
Bungalows are clean and simple, including louvered screened windows that let in the sounds of the tropical rain forest and additional hanging mosquito nets. |
Established in 1956, the family owned Jungle Lodge is a ten minute walk from the
Classic Mayan ceremonial center of Tikal. It was originally constructed to house
archaeologists excavating Tikal and is now comprised of 36 bungalows each with
two double beds and large private bathrooms. High ceilings with fans keep the
rooms cool and each bungalow has its own small porch with lounge chairs. Meals
are served in the open air dining room, and a swimming pool is located in
between the bungalows.

| A centralized swimming pool offers a cool respite after a day of hiking. |

Spacious tile bathrooms are complimented by local flowers from the gardens. |
