Located in Girdwood just 40 miles south of Anchorage the Alta House is close to
adventurous trails and scenic rivers and streams. Girdwood is the home of Mt.
Alyeska, Alaska's only year-round resort, with seven spectacular glaciers and
exceptional mountain views. Surrounding the cabins is lush temperate rainforest
and a multitude of outdoor activities including hiking, biking, fishing, glacier
tours, flightseeing, horseback riding, gold panning, and whitewater rafting.
The Alta House is a collection of six different cabins, each with different
sleeping arrangement to suit a variety of group sizes. All cabins are located
in a beautiful, quaint neighborhood of Girdwood, and are newly renovated, with
private baths. Modern features include full kitchens or kitchenettes, cable,
CD/DVD systems with surround sound, and unbelievably comfortable beds for the
perfect end to an exciting day. Many of the cabins include complimentary
laundry service, hot tubs, charcoal grills, and large freezers to store the
day's catch.
