Day 1: Arrive in Belize

Arrive at he Belize City International airport and set out West across Belize to Caves Branch eco-lodge, a two hour drive away. Caves Branch lodge is an adventure driven location tucked away in a beautiful rain forest reserve on the shores of the Caves Branch River in Belize's Cayo District. Newly constructed treetop suites provide the ultimate way to relax and experience the heart of the Belizean jungle in comfort. Overnight in a Tree House at Caves Branch Jungle Lodge.

Days 2-3: Ruins & Rainforests Adventures

Caves Branch is well located in the Cayo District for numerous explorations into the Belizean rain forest. These days are yours to choose from a menu of included adventures. Spend time together in your secluded tree house, kayak on the Sibun River, hike in the surrounding forest with a naturalist guide learning about natural herbs and medicines, go horseback riding, or float through a cave on an inner tube and hike to see underground Mayan ceremonial sites. Two day trips are included during your 3 night stay. If you’re feeling extra adventurous ask about an optional day trip to the Mayan ruins of Tikal, Guatemala, the ATM Cave, or a zip lining adventure (these day trips at additional cost). All drinks – including local rum drinks, are included. Overnights at Caves Branch Jungle Lodge.

Day 4: Hummingbird Highway to Placencia

Enjoy one of the most scenic drives in Belize along the Hummingbird Highway through the Maya Mountains to Laru Beya Beach Resort on the Placencia Peninsula. This is perfect place to experience laid back Belizean beach culture. Just a short walk or beach cruiser pedal from the hotel is the funky little downtown area of Placencia where you can enjoy freshly caught snapper, conch or lobster served up at one of the local beachside restaurants. Listen to the breeze rustle through the palms from your balcony, take a dip in the pool, cook breakfast in your private kitchen, or sleep late in your comfortable king-size bed. Overnight in an ocean front suite at Laru Beya Beach Resort.

Days 5-7: Belize Beach & Barrier Reef

Explore more of Belize as you enjoy the Caribbean coast. Your four night stay includes daily breakfasts, one barrier reef snorkeling trip, one romantic private dinner on the beach with a bottle of wine, a Swedish couple’s massage in the comfort of your room (or at the beach!) and the use of the resort’s amenities which include kayaks, beach cruiser bikes, and Hobie Cats. Choose to spend the rest of your time bird-watching in the tropical forest, canoeing on nearby rivers in search of birds, crocodiles, iguana and manatees, or Scuba diving on the barrier reef (extra activities not included). Be as energetic as you like or choose to simply relax on the secluded private beach! Overnight s at Laru Beya Beach Resort.
