Foresters
Traveler’s Corner: Peru
Dennis Forester started a new family tradition this year when he took his grandson, Gavin, on an active adventure rafting and hiking through Costa Rica. Forester not only wanted to bond with his grandson, but also teach Gavin what life is all about—adventure! Now Forester's other grandkids are lining up for their Wildland Adventure.
"Our trip was designed to be a bonding trip for my twelve-year-old grandson and I. Life should be an adventure, so I wanted him to have one with me…"

 About Us
Wildland Family Adventures

D ur family adventures have taken different shapes over the years. About a month ago we sent our son, Tarek, off to college in Switzerland, an adventure in itself! I suppose we should've expected no less from a child who has inspired us to design and lead family adventures throughout the world for over two decades.

The Kutay Family Initially, we created family adventures in Costa Rica, Panama, Belize and Alaska for young children and their parents or grandparents. But as Tarek reached middle school, we regrouped and started leading families further afield - Africa, Turkey, the Galapagos and South America. Then, as a teen, he inspired us to redesign our family travel program once again. The trips became even more adventurous, geared towards active teens (and parents, too). Forget camel rides and waterslides…at this age it's about rafting, cycling, zip-lining, sea kayaking, hot air ballooning, surfing and more. And now the bar has been raised further. We're again in the process of creating new Wildland Family Adventures to entice our college student back home for more unforgettable family vacations together.

Our lives are busy and our families are often pulled in different directions. Travel is one of the best ways to return to family and experience life together. We continue to create family adventures which facilitate this and include fun activities that engage every member of the family.

Although our nest has emptied, other Wildland staff are raising families, starting the cycle of Wildland Family Adventures all over again! So, whether you are looking for your first family adventure or if you want to bring everyone in your family together for a multi-generational trip, give us a call - we've been there before!
Kurt and Anne

What trips were our family's personal favorites? Costa Rica at ages 3, 7 and 15; Turkey when Tarek was 8 and 14. Next up, a surf trip to Mexico, the Andes and Amazon of Peru, East Africa, and hey, anybody want to join us on a new Wildland Family Adventure in Switzerland?
