We are celebrating 20 years of 'Going Wild' by calling on our past travelers to share your reflections of renewal, change, or cherished life experiences on your Wildland Adventures. Beginning January 2007, we'll begin our
celebration by publishing your travel stories related to different stages of life and sharing them in this E-News, on our website, and in a 20th anniversary review of our past, present and future.
Adventure travel, especially real journeys that take us deeper into a place and the soul of its peoples, create personal experiences that define our lives and remind us of the values that are important to us. These values can change our
lives as individuals, teach our children, and create a shared vision for a better world. Help us imagine seeing, hearing and feeling what you experienced on your Wildland Adventure. Tell us about the characters you met, exciting encounters
in nature, what you learned (including about yourself and others) and what it meant sharing the experience with your companions. Share the joy of your travels and any personal challenges. In her story below, Nancee Rush recounts a personal
experience in Africa marking a passage with her granddaughter that created bonds deeper than their own.
If you are a Wild Alumnus, we'll be sending you more details about how you can share your stories and join our 20th anniversary celebration with new trips, special adventures, alumni discounts, and reunions with guides, and more.

When Nancee Rush took her teen granddaughter on safari in Tanzania our guides made special arrangements for them to participate in a traditional rite of passage in a native Maasai village. Nancee discovered a bond much deeper than their
own:
|
"When we take time to mark a passage or create a ritual we flow with the river of life, honoring the sacred. And when we do this while traveling we make connections, bond our families, and are able to celebrate the seasons of
life that unite us all." |

For 20 years we've been on the leading edge of vacation travel that is exotic, active and adventuresome yet safe and sustainable, enlightening and enlivening, authentic, altruistic, and even spiritual. Throughout
the decades, we have designed personalized trips for many travelers marking special events or passages through the stages of life. Consider some of our most popular adventures to get out and celebrate life with loved ones, family and
friends in 'The Wild Style'!
Kids in Tow
Check out the fun activities in
exotic lands and cultures with your young travelers. We learn how other people live and create lasting family memories together like caving, canoeing, snorkeling, sea kayaking, climbing ancient Maya ruins, and rainforest hikes surrounded
by monkeys and toucans on our
Belize Family Vacation. Or, our
Kiwi Family Adventure features nonstop activities like hiking, glacier walks, hot springs and water slides, rafting, inner tubing, and the opportunity to sample some of Queenstown's adventure activities.
Young Adults
As kids get older, we have designed our new
teen family adventures for active high school students, or to lure your college student back into the family vacation on more active and adventurous trips featuring activities like easy kayaking down a tributary of the Amazon and hiking
the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu on our
Peru Inca Trail and Amazon Family Adventure. Take a look at all our
Wildland Family Adventures.
Multi-generational Family Travel
We'll help you bring the entire
extended family together for a private, multi-generational Wildland Adventure that appeals to all ages like our
Wilderness Walking Safari in Tanzania.
Birthdays
We've celebrated birthdays from 8 to 80, but after 40 it seems many of us like to challenge ourselves by celebrating with a champagne toast on top of
Mt. Kilimanjaro, trekking on glaciers in New Zealand or in Patagonia on the
Torres del Paine Base Camp Trek.
Women Survivors and Friends
Cancer survivors, working professional women, or busy moms traveling together with friends and daughters like to get away to deepen their relationship with some yoga, spa pampering, and rainforest hikes while enjoying someone else's
cooking on our
Costa Rica Rainforest Rejuvenation Retreat.
Honeymoons and Anniversaries
Whether you are newly wed or
celebrating an anniversary, deepen your love in the lap of simple luxuries among the reefs, rainforests and Maya ruins on our
Belize Honeymoon Adventure, or explore the Andes based from a romantic colonial hacienda and voyage by small yacht in the Galapagos Islands on our
Romantic Ecuador Adventure.
Retirement and Renewal
As we
transition from work and family obligations new freedoms and opportunities arise along with our desire to keep fit, get out and see the world, and to find new ways of sharing and giving back. World travelers who save the best for last
return from our
Turquoise Coast Odyssey in Turkey and routinely conclude that this was the best trip they have ever taken!
