NEW Updates to Argentina Reciprocity Fee


Beginning on January 1, 2013, Argentina will now require all US Citizens entering the country by air, land and sea to produce proof of Reciprocity Fee payment in order to enter the country.  This affects all travelers on our Best of Patagonia, Hikers Patagonia and In the Wake of Magellan trips or similar custom itineraries that begin in Chile and end in Argentina with either an overland border crossing between Torres del Paine and El Calafate or an expedition boat around the Cape Horn from Punta Arenas to Ushuaia.  The following steps must be completed in advance of travel:

2.) If you want to switch the site from Spanish to English, click the American flag in the upper right hand corner.

3.) On the vertical menu bar on the left hand side, select 'Pay your reciprocity rate.'

4.) Complete the required information and pay the $160 per person reciprocity fee online with a credit card.

5.) Print the receipt and keep it with your passport to show immigration authorities upon entry.
