Upper Greek House

Enjoy the old world charm of the beautifully restored Upper Greek House an ancient Greek/Turkish style B&B at the top of the village of Mustafapasa just outside Urgup. Walk through the village, shop the local markets, and eat and be entertained at the Old Greek House, famous for its authentic Turkish food. Twelve authentically decorated cave-style rooms each have private bathrooms and comfortable beds. A beautiful and relaxing salon with TV, dining room and kitchen, as well as free wi-fi internet is available. A delicious Turkish breakfast is provided either on the terrace overlooking the village, inside the salon, or if you prefer a short walk before breakfast you can eat at the Old Greek House in the village. The hotel can help arrange tours and hiking opportunities in the area. And one day you might take a balloon ride over this amazing area for a view you won't forget. One of the local balloon companies will provide transportation to and from our hotel. We can arrange private transportation or you can use the local public transportation to visit other villages in Cappadocia. Also, airport transportation can be arranged by the Upper Greek House. In the 19th century Greek families lived in Mustafapasa until 1924 when the governments of Turkey and Greece exchanged their citizens allowing the Turkish people to return and take residence in this Greek village. As you stroll the cobblestone streets you will see many sites reminiscent of the Greeks, from architecture, door knockers, to the church in the center of town where Greek citizens return yearly to reminisce.
