Once a historic coffee plantation, Hotel Antigua is built on the fertile lakeshore edge of the legendary Lake Atitlan. Sixty rooms are individual crafted and decorated in the traditional colonial hacienda style and feature exquisite textiles and furniture from local artisans. Goose down comforters, large beds, ceramic tile bathrooms and marble walls make this one of the most comfortable and exquisite traditional properties on the lake. Outside of the rooms is elaborate tropical garden featuring roses, hibiscus, heliconias, passion flowers, and bougainvilleas which surround the entire property. Hotel Atitlan is located just outside of the bustling little village of town of Panajachel, which acts as an axis point for visitors in the area and features a wide selection of restaurants and small shops.
