Jagat Niwas Palace is situated on the eastern banks of the famous Lake Pichola at the heart of the old city adjoining the City Palace and behind the famous Jagdish temple. Constructed in the early 17th century in the Mewar architectural style, the palace haveli (mansion) retains much of its historic charm and aesthetics. Surrounded by ancient havelis and temples, the Jagat Niwas is approached through a narrow archway from the Jagdish temple and the old city. The location right on the bank of Lake Pichola provides an excellent view of all the Palaces of Udaipur, including the City Palace (Shiv Nawas), Lake Palace, and Monsoon Palace (especially so from the roof top restaurant). Hotel facilities include a restaurant and bar, café, room and laundry service, STD IST telephone, internet connectivity, shopping arcade, doctor on call, horse riding and safaris, traditional wedding arrangements, and ayurvedic massage centre. All 29 unique rooms cluster around a central courtyard and are equipped with telephone, TV, traditional furniture and elegant fabric.
