His vision was to build the camp and make it possible for adventure travelers to come and experience the Maasai way of life in the most authentic way. Also Mr. Maimai knew that wildlife is a natural resource in the Maasai country and wanted to bring economic opportunities to his people through responsible eco-tourism. Mr. Maimai has a passion for his people and wildlife conservation. In addition to leading tours he works on a semiannual basis at Seattle’s Woodland Park Zoo.
