The Hilton Hotel
The Hilton is a 4-star international hotel complete with shops, swimming pool, restaurants and bar. Rooms are spacious and well-appointed. En suite restrooms including a tub and shower, hair dryer and amenities kit. Quality linens, a writing desk, and TV with international news channels make your stay comfortable.
Just outside of town, Hotel Roha is situated in a peaceful garden surrounded by bougainvilleas. Spacious public areas, a shop and terrace for enjoying drinks are available. En suite rooms are clean and comfortable, although more basic. Water is scarce in Lalibela and guestrooms are often rationed a bucket of water for flushing toilets and washing hands during hours when water is not available from the tap.
Lalibela is the medieval capital of Ethiopia, famous for its awe-inspiring rock-hewn churches; the seventh wonder of the world according to UNESCO world heritage records. The Maribela Hotel opened very recently and is now considered the best hotel in Lalibela, with each room enjoying spectacular views of the mountains. The hotel offers good facilities and friendly and helpful multilingual staff.
A three star hotel overlooking Axum’s exceptional northern Stelae field, and the Queen of Sheba’s bathing pool. The restaurant offers a menu featuring European cuisine. Some facilities included are a bar, a terrace, breakfast, individual safety deposit box, mini-bar and Wi-Fi.
Sabean Hotel is one of the newest accommodations to be built in the northern town of Axum. The rooms are comfortable and modern and the hotel is conveniently located in the center of town, overlooking the ancient obelisks for which Axum is famed. Before heading out the door in the morning, be sure to try some of the fresh pastries and earthy Ethiopian coffee prepared in Sabean's pastry shop.

Located on the shores of Lake Tana, Ethiopia’s largest lake, Kuriftu Resort and Spa is designed with a clever blend of native Ethiopian architecture and décor, and offers warm traditional hospitality. Tana Hotel, Bahir Dar: Located outside of town set in beautiful gardens, the Tana Hotel offers simple accommodations with a few notable touches. The view of Lake Tana from the pleasant terrace is worth the stay. Rooms are decorated with local weavings and cuisine features local fish. Restrooms are en suite, but basic, and include hot water and flushing toilets. Internet is available for a fee.
