Footsteps Across the Linyanti

Experience one of the great, untamed regions of Africa with the elegance and eccentricity of the original “under canvas African safari”. The emphasis is on exploring the breathtakingly beautiful and diverse environment as did the first African explorers. Footsteps Across the Linyanti is a semi-permanent tented camp focused walking safaris within its private Chobe Enclave concession. The camp is intimate and caters to a maximum of 6 guests in three specially designed twin-bedded tents with sewn-in floors. Each tent has its own bucket shower and bush toilet, and even a daily laundry service. The 'bush chef' prepares menus to whet every appetite. Footsteps Across the Linyanti offers the highlights of a 'true safari' experience, where the emphasis is on exploration and discovery; each morning tracking fresh paw prints to reveal the night's events and locate animals in wild. Availability of other activities varies throughout the year and includes early morning or late afternoon game-drives, mokoro canoeing or fishing trips.

The Chobe Enclave offers spectacular birding all year round and is best known for its large herds of elephants that move down to the Linyanti River at the start of the winter months and only move back inland once the main rains arrive. Lion, sable, roan, leopard, and wild dog are also frequent visitors to Linyanti as is the elusive sitatunga antelope, red lechwe, hippo and crocodile.
