> Mary Anne
The Mary Anne is the most befitting of Galapagos boats for exploring in Darwin's wake.
Built in 1997 at over 200 feet in length, this spectacular three-masted Barquentine with
square rigged foremast is the largest and most spacious motorized sailing yacht in the
Galapagos; she offers the most exciting Galapagos adventure experience for sailing ship
aficionados. When wind conditions permit, the professional crew unfurls her 14 sails -
nearly 1000 square meters of canvas- for a spectacular Galapagos adventure! Ample spaces
and numerous activities are offered on three decks. The Sun Deck is where the bridge,
open-air dining area with bar, and kayaks are located, with ample chairs for sunning or
Galapagos wildlife observation under shade. On the Main Deck is located the dining room,
wood-paneled lounge with bar, galley, large library and presentation room with DVD and
TV for daily briefings, lectures and evening activities. All staterooms are located on
the Cabin Deck level.
