Eric, Flamingo, and Letty

View this itinerary

This fleet of three identical 83 foot, 20-passenger motor yachts - the Eric, Flamingo and Letty - were custom-designed exclusively for cruising the Galapagos archipelago. Modern navigational and mechanical equipment meet the highest safety standards found in the Galapagos. They are self-contained and ecologically sound, equipped for noise-reduction and fuel-efficiency. False keels provide stability.

"Excellent ship. The guide was the best! He took my daughters under his wing and went above and beyond the call of service. Every island was unique and beautiful." ~ Carmen Chinea"

"The captain and crew were first rate. Being on a small boat is the best and we had great flexibility." ~ The Leaf Family

"The crew and the guides were terrific. All were considerate and professional. I sustained a slight injury on the last day and the guide carried me on his back over the lava field!" ~ Judith Bronston

Capacity / Accommodations:

Include 10 double outside cabins located on three decks, each with large private bathroom and fresh, hot and cold water shower. Cabins are furnished with two twin lower beds, or one double bed, some also have an upper single for triples. Each features a closet, drawers and overhead storage, plus separate climate controls and intercom system. Prices vary according to deck/cabin level. Ample-sized public areas in these sister yachts include dining room, well-stocked bar, cozy conference area with television, VCR and stereo equipment, and book and video library, all air-conditioned throughout. Large picture windows surround the upper two decks, for panoramic viewing. Sun deck lounge chairs and observation areas invite you to catch the ocean breezes. Three meals daily feature both international and Ecuadorian specialties, and snacks are served following shore excursions. An attentive 10-member crew assures excellent service! Two experienced multilingual guides reduce the traveler-to-guide ratio to 10-to-1 or less. Passengers are divided into two small groups for shore excursions assuring close interaction with your guide. The fleet is currently based on San Cristobal Island.

Designated Family Departures

Voyages specifically designated as family departures are geared toward families who prefer to travel and share their experiences with other families. Special activities may include supervised water games and contests for young children, snorkeling instruction, and sea kayaking (included). Separate on-board nature briefings by enthusiastic and experienced naturalists are geared to younger audiences. Family videos will entertain kids at night while parents enjoy their own lecture and adult camaraderie. Best of all, the chef will be preparing kid-friendly fare such as hot dogs, hamburgers, pizza, chicken fingers and french fries-and there will be plenty of ice cream, popcorn and fresh fruit too! Child size snorkeling equipment and life vests will be provided (although we recommend bringing your own if you have a good set that fits your child). Shorty wet suits are highly recommended for cold water temperatures.
