At 210 feet long with a beam of 41 feet, the luxurious Galapagos expedition ship
Eclipse accommodates half the number of passengers of other Galapagos yachts her
size; she preserves the intimacy of a smaller Galapagos yacht with the spacious
amplitude of a luxury expedition Galapagos cruise featuring large staterooms and
ample social areas. Galapagos cruising aboard Eclipse is enhanced with a 20'
dipping pool, a hot tub, two bars, a library/video room, and a comfortable upper
deck that is partially covered in the day and serves as an the night time
observation deck for stargazing. Meals included in this Galapagos package are
served indoors at a single open seating or a shaded al fresco dining area. The
lounge provides plenty of comfortable seating for all and is where briefings are
held with naturalist-guides. A small gift shop, open on demand, stocks toiletries,
books, souvenirs, T-shirts and other items. The Eclipse also features an air-renewal
system and an infirmary with a medical doctor is on board at all times.

Capacity / Accommodations:
One of the finest of the small Galapagos ships, the Eclipse accommodates up to 48
passengers providing a Galapagos Island vacation experience that is both casual
and elegant without being overly luxurious. Cabins are among the largest of any
vessel in the Galapagos Islands with lots of storage, and a roomy bathroom with
shower. Cabins may be configured in double or twin bed arrangements and suites
offer convertible sofa beds and a bathtub. All cabins feature a sea view , with
either portholes or windows, climate controls, and complementary bathrobes. Fresh
towels are provided every day unless you want to conserve.

Crew and Amenities :
Four professional naturalist guides assure a low passenger-to-guide ratio. This Galapagos
ship carries a fleet of hard-bottom, inflatable pangas (rubber boats) each seating a
group of 12 passengers with its own naturalist-guide; they are quick to disembark
passengers and stable to land anywhere on shore excursions. The Eclipse prides itself
on the quality of its naturalist guides trained and licensed by the Galapagos Islands
National Park Service and Charles Darwin Research Station; they are highly informed,
patient, flexible and friendly. The captain maintains an open-bridge policy; guests are
welcome to visit officers for a lesson in navigation or marine engineering whenever the
ship at anchor.
Snorkeling equipment is available on board at no extra charge and a limited number of
wet-suits are available for rent at a nominal cost.
Family Departures:
On designated Eclipse Galapagos Family vacations, the staff provides separate shore
excursions for kids as well as extra shipboard activities and special menus.

Safety and Environment:
Eclipse operates to ensure the comfort and safety of passengers and works to protect
the integrity of the fragile Galapagos environment. She complies with all current SOLAS
(Safety of Life At Sea) and ISM (International Safety Management) regulations.
Smart Voyager Certification:
The Rainforest Alliance has awarded their "Smart Voyager" seal of approval to Eclipse,
certifying it as eco-friendly and socially responsible. The certification program works
to minimize the environmental impact of tourism and recognize operators who meet strict
conservation standards for protecting the environment, wildlife and the well-being of
workers and local communities.
Eclipse Deck Plan and Cabin Layout:
Suites are located on the highest boat deck and have convertible sofa-beds and a bathtub.
Staterooms include a guest chair and have either one queen-sized or two twin sized beds.
Doubles and singles are located on the main deck and have either two-twin or queen bed arrangements.
