  The M/V Mare Australis navigates across the Strait of magellan.
The Mare Australis features 63 comfortable cabins, all with panoramic windows, private baths, individual climate controls, and safety box. All cabins are 161 sq ft and feature either 1 large double bed or 2 lower twin beds. In addition, 3 of the Class B cabins on the Patagonia deck have an upper berth which can accommodate a third passenger. Two comfortable lounges accommodate naturalist talks and gatherings, while the spacious open air terrace on the uppermost Darwin deck presents the spectacular Patagonian scenery in all its splendor. The vessel also accommodates an infirmary, gift shop, game room and library.

The vessel was built according to SOLAS 2001 and MARPOL 73/78 updated standards for worldwide oceanic navigation. The International Maritime Organization has issued their Safety Management Certification, guaranteeing international safety standards as well as high standards of environmental protection. Mare Australis features echo sounder, radar, GPS and integration with the Global Maritime Distress and Safety System. There is an emergency generator, fire stations, smoke detectors in each cabin and a sprinkler fire suppression system throughout the ship.
